Ponderosa High School Campus Security

The Safety and Security Department's mission is to protect the educational environment in Douglas County Schools.

We operate under three major areas of service: Student, Staff, and Visitor Protection; Emergency Preparedness; and Planning and Property Protection. Ponderosa High School is staffed with Campus Security Specialists that work directly with School Administration and the District Safety and Security Department.

Hours-

Campus Security Specialist are on site during school hours throughout the academic school year. After-hour events will also be manned to include weekends.

Access to Ponderosa High School building and athletic fields is restricted to Douglas County School District employees, currently enrolled students, and approved visitors. All visitors are required to check in (with valid government/state issued ID) at the security kiosk prior to continuing to any other part of the property. The main entrance is located on the south side of the building (to the right of the flagpole and marked by A1 above the main doors).
