Who We Are
  • Ponderosa is the second oldest high school in Douglas County and Parker’s original high school.

  • We are a four-year comprehensive high school and one of nine high schools in the Douglas County School District.

  • We pride ourselves on a positive climate and culture, a cohesive community and strong family feel. 

  • We are student-focused and value each other, our traditions and history. 

  • We are collaborative and believe in shared decision making. 

  • We offer extensive programming, including 34 Advanced Placement classes, 18 college credit classes, numerous electives and Career and Technical Education classes. 

  • We believe in preparing our students for college, careers and trades. 

  • We believe that students who are involved in extra-curricular sports and activities are more successful in high school. 

  • We offer 23 competitive varsity sports.  We have the  most league and state championships of any high school in Douglas County.  Our students excel at the state and national level yearly.
