About the Industrial Technologies Department
The Industrial Technologies department at Ponderosa High School is proud to offer a variety of Career and Technical Education courses. Students have the opportunity to receive college credit in two of our automotive course offerings. In addition, there are certifications available to students in the Automotive, Welding, and Construction fields. All course offerings provide real world skills that will transfer into post secondary education and workforce skills. In addition to providing a variety of courses, students have the opportunity to join SkillsUSA and compete with other schools across the state. These academic organizations provide students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a competitive environment. Students are also able to earn credit through various Work Based Learning opportunities. The following pathways are offered at Ponderosa: Automotive, Welding, Construction/Woodworking
