Ponderosa High School Auditorium
January 28, 2020
6:30pm - 8:00pm

A panel of industry experts will discuss careers in Healthcare, Construction, Information Technology, Automotive, Culinary, and City/Government as a prelude to the 2nd Annual DCSD Career Showcase
With so many opportunities for high demand careers beyond the traditional 4-year college degree, this presentation will help to educate what additional career choices are available.

2nd Annual DCSD Parker Area Career Showcase

Last year, approximately 90 vendors attended the inaugural DCSD Career Showcase held at Ponderosa from a wide variety of industries.  Transportation will be provided for students wanting to attend this year's showcase held at Chaparral on February 12, 2020.  Interested students can sign up in the Post Grad Center, space is limited.  This Field Trip Permission Form needs to be completed and returned to the Post Grad Center before February 10, 2020.  Students will depart from Ponderosa at 9:25am and leave from Chaparral to return to Ponderosa at 11:00am.

More information on the Career Showcase will be available in the coming weeks as vendors continue to register and information is made available.  We are excited to provide these opportunities for our Ponderosa Community and hope to see you soon!  Feel free to contact your student's counselor or Misty Murphy with questions.

Deadlines for Requesting Transcripts for College Applications

In order for PHS to send transcripts, all requests need to be made through Naviance.  In order to meet deadlines, we ask that all requests are made a minimum of 10 business days prior to the application deadline. Please keep in mind that additional documents (letters of recommendation, teacher and counselor evaluation forms) beyond a transcript are required for applications being submitted through the Common App and must be completed prior to the transcript request deadline.
