Who We Are
We are Proud, Productive and Proven!
Ponderosa High School, the second oldest in Douglas County and Parker’s original high school, is a four-year comprehensive institution and one of nine high schools in the district. We take pride in fostering a positive climate and culture, a strong sense of community, and a family-like atmosphere. As a student-focused school, we value each other, our rich traditions, and our history. Collaboration and shared decision-making are central to our approach. Our extensive programming includes 34 Advanced Placement courses, 18 college credit classes, a wide range of electives, and Career and Technical Education opportunities, all designed to prepare students for college, careers, and trades. We believe that students involved in extracurricular sports and activities achieve greater success in high school, which is why we offer 23 competitive varsity sports. With the most league and state championships of any high school in Douglas County, our students consistently excel at both the state and national levels.
